Ms. Lynn (Director)

Ms. Lynn has a Florida Child Care Professional Credential, and Early Childhood Education-Administration, Advance Director’s Credentials. She has 13 years of experience as a preschool teacher and 10 years as a business manager/administrator. Her educational philosophy is to individualize instruction to meet the needs of each child with a focus on the child’s strengths and interests. Create an environment where children play an active role in learning through hands on activities that promote language, cognitive development, social-emotional skills and physical growth. Her favorite children’s books are: Harry the Dirty Dog, Caps for Sale, and I Love You Forever. Ms. Lynn has been working at The Child Care Center since January 2011

Ms. Jessica (Assitant Director)

Ms. Jessica (Assitant Director)

 Ms. Jessica has a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Florida Child Care and Education Program Director Credential, and is currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.  She has over 20 years of experience working in the field (17 years as a preschool teacher and 3 years as an administrator).  Her educational philosophy is that children learn best when they are in a safe and loving environment that promotes learning through play and social interactions.  Her favorite children’s books are: The Giving Tree, Where the Side Walk Ends, and Tikki Tikki Tembo.  Ms. Jessica has been working at The Child Care Center since August 2004.

Ms. Mae has a Florida Child Care Professional Credential and has over 45 years of experience working in the Early Childhood Field. Her educational philosophy is that every child is naturally curious, and she loves to foster that curiosity because she is passionately curious as well. Her favorite activity to do with the children is reading and singing and she loves to see their reaction. Her favorite children’s books are: Good Night Moon and Love You Forever. Ms. Mae has been working at The Child Care Center since 1983.

Ms. Angie has an Associate in Science in Child Development Education and has over 25 years of experience working in the field. Her educational philosophy is that working as a teacher is a life-changing experience, she believes that every job has its ups and downs, but not every job can change a life. Her favorite activity to do in her classroom is singing, she can tell the children appreciate her voice. Her favorite children’s book is: I Love You Forever. Ms. Angie has been working at The Child Care Center since 2009.

Ms. Gina has a Florida Child Care Professional Credential and has over 21 years of experience in the field. Her educational philosophy is that the goal for Early Childhood Education should be to activate the child’s own natural desire to learn. Her favorite activity to do in the classroom is circle time where she can sing songs and finger plays. Her favorite children’s book is The Peace Book. Ms. Gina has been working at The Child Care Center since 1999.

Ms. Marisol is currently working towards a Florida Child Care Professional Credential. She has more than 2 years of experience working in the field. Her educational philosophy is that young children learn best by exploring the environment and by following routines. Her favorite activity to do with the children is coloring and painting using different Art materials. Her favorite children’s book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Ms. Marisol has been working at The Child Care Center since 2016.

Ms. Alexis has an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She has over 5 years of experience working in the field. Her educational philosophy is that every child is unique and learns differently and every child is capable of learning and succeeding. She loves playing with the children and doing hands-on activities like playdough. Her favorite children’s book is The Giving Tree. Ms. Alexis has been working at The Child Care Center since 2013.

Her educational philosophy is that a teacher must love children to be able to teach them. Her favorite activities in the classroom are Art, Circle Time, Reading, Music and Movement. Her favorite children’s books are, the Llama Llama series. Ms. Lillian has been working at The Child Care Center since 2016.

Ms. Luz has a National Child Development Associate and has over 16 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education Field. Her educational philosophy is that children develop according to their age, with love and dedication from their teachers. Her favorite activity to do with the children is playing age-appropriate games and observing their reactions. Her favorite children’s book is, No David. Ms. Luz has been working at The Child Care Center since 2002.

Ms. Johanny has a Florida Department of Children and Families Child Care Introductory Training and has more than 4 years of experience in the field. Her educational philosophy is that children learn best when they are in an environment that is structured and organized. Her favorite activities to do with the children are singing in English and Spanish and dancing to the rhythm of the music. Her favorite children’s books are Abby Cadabby Fairy Tale Fun and Piggies. Ms. Johanny has been working at The Child Care Center since 2016.

Play is a very important part of a child’s life and learning experience and it is very common to see children wanting to read the same book again and again. Her favorite activity to do with her children is doing age-appropriate Science experiments. Her favorite children’s book is The Giving Tree. Ms. Franchesca is currently working on an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She has over 3 years of experience in the field. Her educational philosophy is that children learn best when they are loved and when doing hands-on activities. Her favorite activities to do in the classroom are: circle time and reading books with the children. Her favorite children’s book is Olivia and the Missing Toy. Ms. Sandy has a Teaching degree in Elementary Education from Guatemala. She also has a College Credit Certificate in Early Childhood Education and has over 30 years of experience in the field. Her educational philosophy is that every child is an individual who learns from experiences during play and interaction with others. She truly believes in creating a positive and safe environment where children can thrive, using mindfulness and yoga techniques in the classroom. Her favorite activity to do with the children is practicing Yoga and Mindfulness. Her favorite children’s book is Knuffle Bunny. Ms. Sandy has been working at The Child Care Center since 2012.

Ms. Arleen has a Florida Child Care Professional Credential. She has more than 41 years of experience working in the field. Her educational philosophy is that children learn best when they interact with nurturing adults and by playing in a positive environment. We must provide hands-on experiences that would help children enhance their curiosity about the world. Her favorite activity to do in the classroom is Story Time because she gets to read to the children using different voices for the characters in the story and the children really love that. Her favorite children’s book is The Day The Crayons Quit. Ms. Arleen has been working at The Child Care Center since 1983.

Her educational philosophy is that children learn through positive reinforcement because children like to be praised when they behave well or after completing a task. Her favorite activity to do in the class is playing with shaving cream, adding finger paint to it and letting children play with it. Ms. Licinia has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently working towards a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She has over 25 years of experience working in the field. Her educational philosophy is that all children are capable of learning. She believes that children learn through experience and “play”. Play makes children’s experiences real and enjoyable; they gain knowledge, social and emotional skills that are the key to future success. She loves to do many activities in the classroom including; Science, Space, Math and Social Studies. Her favorite children’s book is The Giving Tree. Ms. Licinia has been working at The Child Care Center since 1994.

Ms. Maria has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Community Counseling. She has over 30 years of experience working in the field of Early Childhood Education. Her educational philosophy is that every child is unique and eager to learn. She believes that during the early years a child learns through play, observation, trial and error and it is important to provide opportunities for the child to develop physically, mentally and socially. Her favorite activity to do in the classroom is Circle Time; she loves to see the children’s facial expressions as they share their opinions. Her favorite children’s books are Guess How Much I Love You and The Giving Tree. Ms. Maria has been working at The Child Care Center since 2016.

Ms. Gisell has an associate degree in Speech Pathology and is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She has over 4 years of experience in the field. Her educational philosophy is that children will love learning when they have teachers who love them. Her favorite activities to do with the children are dancing, water play and getting messy with paint. Her favorite children’s books are The Watermelon Seed and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. His educational philosophy is that children learn best through play and when they are having fun. His favorite activities to do with the children are Science experiments and outdoor activities. Her educational philosophy is to educate children using the knowledge and experience that she has obtained throughout her years of working in the area of child development. Her favorite activity to do with the children is playing with Legos, she likes to see how children build structures and how they develop their control and coordination. Her favorite children’s books are Pete The Cat, Five Little Pumpkins and I Love You Forever. Ms. Clara has been working at The Child Care Center since 1990.
